Meh

Since I'm here anyway, I think I'll drop another review.
You've done a rather good job getting the trance melodies there, but now the problem is the beat.
The kick drum you used is a bit too bassy, and spamming it does no justice. The reverb was a bit overdone.
Go find a sample pack on the internet, and use one of those kicks.
Or you can download the demo version of fl studio, go into the sample library and "steal" one of their kicks.
You should try and experiment with the demo of fl studio, my first 3 songs were made from the demo. (two of them aren't here on ng)
Oh well. Decent song, but the kicks were overpowering.

ZoicPoet responds:

Have you noticed my ambient songs are kicking ass? Maybe you're right. I am not cut out for trance :/ Thanks for another helpful review bro. It's very much appreciated.

Perrfect!!

Great remix of this classic song...
To be honest, the beginning sounded nothing like the original, but as the song progresses, I started noticing melodies from the original.
This really evokes feelings from that old movie that I haven't watched for ages.
It's also refreshing to hear another version of the same version.
Great track!!! Faved, 5/5 10/10

Lashmush responds:

Thank you, good sir.

Hey..

Just heard this song.. I think it's still ambient-ish genre, maybe that's what genre you're destined to make =P. (Joking)
To be honest, I'm not a fan of dissonance in music, it makes sound awkward. I think using more harmony is better, to my taste.
This song's a bit repetitive, but you've done a really good job building up tension in this song. Just that the ending was a bit sudden, the song didn't have time to break down. The weird noise that pops up didn't really did much.
I think this has some potential, if you add more melodies and such. Great job on this. =D

ZoicPoet responds:

Thankyou. I am really trying. I am glad everyone understands that I have to start somewhere. Also, once I get trance down. I am going to put Ambient, AND Trance together. You know how awesome that would sound? Also, sorry about the dissonance. This song was me trying to see what a ''trance'' song would sound like
with off-key notes. :/ Because a dream is very obscure, and it's definately not in focus. It's distorted, and twisted. Thankyou for listening, and relating to why the song is the way it is. ^.^

This... is..

Absolutely brilliant.
I can feel the great amount of feeling in this song.
This really brings up a certain mood, I think this would do really well in a movie.
Awesome song!!!

LynnKavki responds:

Thanks so much for all of your reviews! ^^ I really appreciate the feedback. And it was intended as a soundtrack of sorts, so I suppose I succeeded.
This is the newest of the songs Ive posted so far, so its a good thing each one seems better. There would be no point in making more if I wasn't improving, anyways!

Hmm..

This is not bad... Actually, its really good...
I just find the dissonance you put in a bit awkward, it doesn't really tell anything about a sunset.
I would classify this under ambient if I were you. This is a pretty good try at trance, but you ironically made a song of another genre. o.o
If I'm not wrong, trance has a good strong kick drum on every beat, closed hi hats in between every kick, and a snare/clap every 2nd and 4th beat.

Still.. this is really good, hope to see more from you soon. =)

(Why? I use headphones, and they sound great.)

ZoicPoet responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed this song. I can explain.

First part - Is the beauty and pleasure you get watching the sun fall slowly, that adrenaline rush. The power, and natural ecstacy. (I sound like a lunatic) XD

Second part - Is when it gets REALLY close in finally reaching the peak, (Like an orgasm). The shades of orange so brilliantly displayed.. Like a pool of life up in the sky.

Third part - Is the last and final part of this beautiful moment, descending. Then when the last lights start fading away, day snaps into night. Day doesn't fade into night, day ''snaps'' into night. Which is why the ending ''snaps'' doesn't ''fade''. Honestly, I have no idea what genre my songs are, really.. I am trying really hard though. Thankyou for such a lovely review.

Great...

This song's great!
Just think the tempo can be upped a bit. Seems a bit slow for my taste.
The guitar playing could also be a bit more consistent.
But the tunes are great. The drum beats also work well.
Overall, good song.

MoNkEyBoY1993 responds:

thanks a lot, man; this was more of an experiment than an actual song; if i was going for a full piece it would have been longer, more in depth, and had more instruments.

it was basically my first time recording a piece on an actual uitar so keeping tempo was a little bit of a strain for me xD. i honestly don't really know how to play a guitar so yea this was an achievement for me :3

Hmm..

This is great, I like the chord progression (though it makes the song rather predictable by repeating this throughout).
The piano melody is great, but I think using another sound would be better, this piano sounds cheesy.
I think some drum beats will enhance this song much better.

But overall, great song here. Pretty calming, and works well.
Awesome job!!

jbarnett responds:

thanks. this was all done in fl studio. the only keyboard i touched was the one im usin right now lol. so that is probably why it doesnt sound too great

Hmm...

Actually, I heard AzureVixen's version first, but I feel I should review the original too.
Obviously, you get the credits for the melodies, it is just so plain happy.
I can listen to this for a whole day without getting tired of it. =)
Can't wait to see your future works, and hope it is just as great as this. =)

Chimy727 responds:

haha thanks dude! :D
if you will, check out some of my other stuff! :D
im sure you will be pleased with some of it!
-chimy727
thanks

Great!

Although the initial buildup is pretty long, this song eventually becomes great.
The unconventional beat you used gave this a nice touch, and it somehow fit pretty well.
Also, the synth felt a bit too high pitched, and it was a bit too repetitive for my taste. But apart from that, it was pretty good, it created a good mood for the song.
Summary: Great song!!

CloudDJ responds:

thanks for the review.

Huh?

I don't feel anything.
These sine wave frequencies are... totally opposite to what you said.
I'm not going to listen to this for the whole 8 minutes and 21 seconds of this "song"
Stick to the actual songs you can make. Kay?

Seriously. Don't post crap here.

Zovos responds:

Read the revised description. Also, if you give yourself some patience and open-mindedness towards the certain tonal harmonies of these frequencies, it will probably work better for you.
